This Terms of Service ("TOS" or "Terms") governs your access to and use of the mobile version (iOS and Android) of "Encounter: The Lost Cards" (the "Service"). This document is a legal agreement between you and Encounter GG ("we," "our," or "us").
a. Billing & In-App Purchases: The Mobile version is "Free-to-Start." Any In-App Purchases (IAPs), such as purchasing Sage or upgrading to "Premium" status, are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing and refund inquiries must be directed to the respective app store.
b. Guest Accounts: By default, mobile progress is tracked via a "Guest ID." We do not knowingly use device identifiers.
a. Optional Linking: You may choose to link your Steam account to the mobile version. Linking your account provides: (i) enhanced account recovery and security—your progress can be restored if you lose your device or reinstall the application; and (ii) cross-platform progression. Note that linking a Steam account alone does not grant "Premium" status; see §2c below.
b. Secure Login: If you choose to link your account, you will be redirected to a secure web browser to enter your Steam credentials via Steam's own OAuth portal. Encounter GG does not see, collect, or store your Steam password.
c. Steam Parity: Linking a Steam account that owns Encounter: The Lost Cards on Steam will automatically grant your mobile account "Premium" status (3x Scroll Login Bonus Multiplier). Simply having a Steam account is not sufficient — ownership of the game must be confirmed. This is one of two paths to Premium; the other is a direct In-App Purchase (see §1a).
a. Licensed Digital Content: All currencies (Scrolls, Sage, Knowledge, Wisdom, and Credits) and items are "Licensed Digital Content." They are licensed for your use and are not personal property.
b. No Native Mobile Trading: The mobile application does not feature a marketplace or trading functionality. All "Gifts" opened on mobile result in non-tradable assets.
c. Credits: "Credits" earned on mobile are "redeemed" assets. Even if you link a Steam account, Credits earned on mobile cannot be converted into tradable Steam Token Vouchers.
d. Trading via Steam: If a Steam account is linked, "Ace Cards" earned on mobile may be traded only via the Steam Community Marketplace on a PC or via a web browser; trading is never conducted within the mobile app itself.
e. No Real-Money Value: All virtual currencies and Licensed Digital Content are licensed solely for use within the Service. They have no cash value and are not redeemable for real currency or any monetary equivalent. Encounter GG makes no representations regarding the monetary value of any item on third-party markets.
f. Gift Mechanics: "Wisdom" can be used to open "Gifts," which yield randomized Licensed Digital Content. Once all Rare Gear is unlocked, rewards at that tier will fall back to Sage to maintain economy balance.
You agree not to: a. Exploit the offline save state or local cache to manipulate game progress. b. Use automation tools or bots on your mobile device. c. Attempt to link a single Steam purchase to multiple mobile accounts ("Account Cloning"). d. Reverse engineer the mobile software.
e. Enforcement: Encounter GG reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to: (i) temporarily suspend your access to the Service; (ii) permanently terminate your account; (iii) forfeit and void any or all Licensed Digital Content associated with your account; and (iv) report violations to Apple Inc., Google LLC, Valve Corporation, or relevant authorities, as applicable.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." ENCOUNTER GG DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Upon termination of your account or license—whether initiated by you or by Encounter GG due to a violation of these Terms—all Licensed Digital Content (including virtual currencies and items) associated with your account will be permanently forfeited without compensation. For real-money In-App Purchases, refund eligibility is governed exclusively by the applicable app store's (Apple App Store or Google Play) refund policies; Encounter GG has no independent refund obligation.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where practicable, via in-game notifications. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
The original version of this Agreement is in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version shall govern and control.
